Installing on Windows​

  1. Create a folder ersatztv at your preferred install location.
  2. Download and extract the latest release from GitHub to the ersatztv folder.
  3. Run ErsatzTV-Windows.exe.
  4. Use the tray menu to open the UI, view logs or exit.

FFmpeg​

ErsatzTV depends on an up-to-date version of FFmpeg and FFprobe. Windows packages are bundled with all required dependencies, including FFmpeg. A compatible version of FFmpeg may also be found at ErsatzTV-FFmpeg.

Updating on Windows​

  1. Cleanly exit ErsatzTV using the tray icon.
  2. Completely empty the folder where you originally extracted ErsatzTV.
  3. Download the latest release from GitHub.
  4. Extract the latest release to the now-empty install location.
  5. Run ErsatzTV-Windows.exe.
  6. Use the tray menu to open the UI, view logs or exit.
